Hi Mel, Just a short note to let you know that we had a great time in Nerja. Nerja is a super resort on the Costa Del Sol. It still retains much of its old world charm. The Villa Flamenca is very centrally situated near to the Old Town with plenty of restaurants and bars nearby. The hotel itself is a bit jaded but it has loads of Spanish character. I believe that some of the rooms are on the small side but we could not complain about ours. It was clean, bright and comfortable. The staff are lovely and go out of their way to be helpful. We were on a bed and breakfast basis so I really cannot comment on the food. The breakfast was of the usual buffet type with lots of fresh fruit, delicious bread and plenty of cooked food. As we were there to see family in Nerja, we only went to one evening's entertainment- a flamenco show. This was excellent. For us, the hotel was ideal -very good value for money -far cheaper than the Thomson guests at the same hotel -and near to the family. We will certainly use it next year. This was our first venture with Timelinx. We were very impressed. We're off to Benidorm next week for a three week golden oldies holiday. Will let you know how we went on. Cheers Graham and Jenny Smith
Just one month after returning from Nerja, Graham & Jenny were off again. With their laundered clothes and repacked suitcases they headed to the Benilux Park Hotel (Resort Code T08534) in Benidorm.
Here are Graham & Jenny's comments on their trip to the Costa Blanca:

Subject: Holiday in Benidorm
Hi Mel,
Just to let you know that we had a great 3 weeks in Benidorm. As you know, we were a bit uneasy about going to Benidorm with its reputation, but we needn't have worried. The resort was full of oldies like us enjoying a winter break. There was plenty going on and, as an added bonus, the weather, apart from a couple of days, was great. We stayed at the 3* Benilux Park Hotel. This was perhaps the best example of a 3* hotel we have stayed in. It had about 250 bedrooms(all full) built over 8 stories - quite a low rise hotel for Benidorm. It was situated a few minutes walk away from the old town and a nice beach and the area was surprisingly quiet. We were able to sleep with the windows open and listen to the birds singing - better than drunks any day! The hotel was spotlessly clean and the staff were very friendly and helpful. The food was exceptional and very varied. Although on a buffet system, there was something for every taste. We were on half board and spent very little on food during the day. The entertainment was quite good, but geared towards the Spanish. There was entertainment to suit all tastes nearby so this was not a problem for us. The only thing we didn't like was the sound insulation between rooms - a common hotel problem. We had snorers next to us - we christened them Ron and Rona Car (roncar - spanish for snore - get it!). However, we soon got used to them.We compared the price we paid with Timelinx to the price holiday makers travelling with Shearings and Thompsons paid and ours was at least a third cheaper. So all in all, a great, economical winter break. We shall be going again next year. Thanks again. Graham and Jenny Smith

| Cabaret on the Costas |
Timelinx members taking holidays on the Costa Del Sol this summer now have the chance to see the smash hit cabaret show "The Rat Pack" the show will be appearing at "The Sands Club" at the Hotel Atalaya Park Ctra. De Cadiz, Km 169, (exit Benahavis), Beach-side-10 mins from Marbella & Estepona and 5 mins from San Pedro. The venue is ideal, having 1960's deco theme and an intimate, exclusive "club" atmosphere that is enhanced by being able to stage the show "in the round", rather than on a raised and remote stage. The bar is open throughout the evening.
Musical Director Ian Green say's "The appeal of these songs and the 3 special stars is universal. Marbella Big Band has always featured several Sinatra songs as part of its set for our own top-end wedding, corporate and private party clients and we are receiving more and more requests for a cabaret version of "The Rat Pack" that gets an incredibly enthusiastic reaction from Spanish and other international audiences."
The stylish show starts at 9.30pm (doors open 8.45pm) and runs for 2½ hours (including a 20-minute interval). It stars 3 very talented and accomplished singers playing Frank Sinatra (Martin Joseph), Dean Martin (Dave Lee) & Sammy Davis Jr, (Thomas Henry) and 3 beautiful, elegant and professional "Las Vegas" dancers, backed by the Marbella Big Band.
Tickets for "The Rat Pack" are only €30 per person and can be reserved by emailing kerry.matthews@timelinx.com with your name, how many tickets you require and the date you would like to see the show. The tickets will then be left at the door for you to pickup on arrival at the venue.
