Winners of the 2004 ‘Win a Saab 93’ competition – the Hollis family from Cornwall
The free members draw for the SAAB 93 was made on the 3rd of January, live simultaneously on the internet and Timelinx Radio. The winners were Mr & Mrs Kevin Hollis of Cornwall, England who are Designer Way Vacation Club members that joined at European Coast & Sun Holiday's in Tenerife.

The Timelinx ‘Win a Saab 93’ competition drew a huge response from all members, some members sending in dozens of entries. The Hollis family, who actually submitted just one entry, elected to take the prize of £20,000 cash rather than the car.
Timelinx Director Craig Douglas, no stranger to travel, visited the Hollis family at their home in Cornwall to present them with their cheque. Members since September 2002 the Hollis family had plenty of ideas on how to spend their windfall.
Dad Kevin (45) and mum Helen (39) plan to pay all the bills, take a dream holiday, and refurbish the house…though not necessarily in that order! Eldest daughter Sherrilea (17) wants broadband internet and driving lessons, and is also planning a big party for her 18th birthday. Her little sister Hannah (12) has set her sights on just one thing: she wants to go to America. Frazer, the family dog, has asked for nothing yet, he’s still wondering why everyone’s so excited!
How much of a difference will winning £20,000 make to your lives?
Kevin: “A huge difference in the short term; with the money we can enjoy some free-spending. Besides, winning a lot of money is something you’re not going to forget. The whole thing is unbelievable, simply fantastic.”
Will you be using the money to take a dream holiday?
Helen: “Absolutely!”
Kevin: “We’re off to Turkey first, on a holiday we booked a while ago, we’ve made some good friends there. After that we’re looking to go on a real holiday of a lifetime – the works!”
Helen: “The plan is to visit The States. We’ve always wanted to see the space shuttles at Cape Canaveral and the kids want to go to Disneyland.”
Other than the small matter of winning £20,000, what else is it you like about DWVC?
Kevin: “The ease of use. It’s a personalised service and the staff are very friendly, you get to know them quite quickly. Always get a rapid response, if I ring they’re there and my e-mails are replied to almost immediately.”
Helen: “We use it for friends occasionally and it’s also something that we can pass down to the kids.”
Do you read The Traveller magazine?
Kevin: “Yes, of course. That’s how we immediately recognised Craig! We keep all the copies in the DWVC case, along with everything else. It’s especially amazing to win the money because this was the first competition we’ve entered.”
